KENYA TO TANZANIA SAFARI ITINERARY

DAY ONE

Met upon your arrival and transferred to Arusha Serena Hotel for Overnight, accommodations. (Bed & Breakfast)

DAY TWO

After breakfast drive to Ngorongoro crater is a protected area and a World Heritage Site located 180 km (3h30 min) west of Arusha in the Crater Highlands area of Tanzania. The area is named after  a large volcanic caldera within the area and afternoon visit Olduvai Gorge  means “the place of the wild sisal”, or Sansevieria, in Maasai. Twenty-five kilometers downstream of Lake Ndutu and Lake Masek, the gorge cuts into Pleistocene lake bed sediments up to a depth of 90 m. A side gorge, originating from Lemagrut Mountain, joins the main gorge 8 km from the mouth. This side gorge follows the shoreline of a prehistoric lake, rich in fossils and early man sites. Volcanic ash from Olmoti and Kerimasi ensured preservation of the fossils dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro farm house (Full/board basis).

DAY THREE

After breakfast, full day game drive in Ngorongoro crater with picnic lunch boxes which is the home to the vast, volcanic and “big 5” game. Huge herds of wildebeests and zebras traverse its plains during their annual migration. Livestock belonging to the semi-nomadic Maasai tribe graze alongside wild animals, evening drive back to Ngorongoro Farm House for dinner and overnight (Full/board basis).

DAY FOUR

After Breakfast drive to vast plains of Serengeti National Park with game drive en route arriving for early lunch approximately 3hrs in northern Tanzania, is known for its massive annual millions migration of wildebeests and zebras, Seeking new pasture, the herds move north from their breeding grounds in the grassy southern plains and afternoon game drive, Dinner and over Night at Serengeti Kubukubu Tented camp (Full board basis)

DAY FIVE

Morning and Afternoon game drives in Serengeti National Park is home to all members of the Big Five and almost 500 bird species. The Serengeti fits well into most people’s dream of an African safari with its abundant wildlife, vast golden plains dotted with thorny umbrella acacia trees, kopjes, and sausage trees, and its crocodile and hippo-filled rivers, Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Kubukubu Tented camp (Full/board basis)

DAY SIX

After breakfast, drive to Isebania border with picnic Lunch boxes approximately 4hrs drive to meet with Kenyan’s driver guides at the boarder after clearance with both customs proceed for another 2hrs drive to the famous game reserve which was recently named among one of the eight wonders of the world Masai Mara Game Reserve, game drive en route arriving late evening for Dinner and over Night at Mara Serena Safari Lodge. (Full board basis)

DAY SEVEN

Morning and Afternoon game drives in the reserve which is an area of preserved savannah wilderness in southwestern Kenya, along the Tanzanian border. Its animals include lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras and hippos. Wildebeest traverse its plains during their annual migration. The landscape has grassy plains and rolling hills, and is crossed by the Mara and Talek rivers. The area nearby is dotted with villages (enkangs) of Maasai people, Dinner and overnight at Mara Serena Safari Lodge (Full board basis)

DAY EIGHT

Early Morning games drive with optional visit to a Maasai village, back to the lodge for lunch Afternoon Game drive within the reserve home to wild animals, which include the African elephant, buffalo, impala, lion, cheetah, hyena, giraffes, zebra, and wildebeest among other African animals. Dinner & overnight at Mara Serena Safari Lodge (Full/board basis)

DAY NINE

Optional Balloon safari tours in lift off at dawn (06:15) after coffee and a flight briefing. The one hour flight will give you a bird’s eye view of the best East Africa has to offer in the magnificent setting of the Great Rift Valley after you land, a champagne breakfast in the bush adds to the buzz you will get from the early morning air and the sights and sounds that only an eagle ever sees which you can book and pay direct at the reception or full day game drive in the reserve with picnic Lunch boxes  back to the lodge late evening for dinner and overnight at Mara Serena lodge.( Full board basis)

DAY TEN

After breakfast drive back to Nairobi approximately 6hrs drive arriving in time for lunch on your own. Afternoon at leisure on day rooms at Ole Sereni this is where the former American embassy was housed after the original one was bombed in August 1998 until 2007 when they moved to the current one based in north of Nairobi, then the building was renovated and converted to a hotel in 2009 and officially opened for accommodations and is the only Hotel facing Nairobi National park, dinner at the famous carnivore restaurant and later transferred to Jomo Kenyatta international airport for your flight back home.

TOUR CONDITIONS

Tour Price Inclusive of

  • Accommodation based on two persons sharing double room/Twin room.
  • 3 full meals daily while on safari in Kenya.
  • Ground transportation in a customized Jeep/4×4 Land Cruiser as per the itinerary with services of a Professional English speaking tour guide/driver.
  • Entrance fees to the Game Reserves and National Parks, Orphanage and Museum.
  • Mineral water while on Safari.

Tour Price is not Inclusive of

  • International air flights, insurance & visa fees.
  • Excess baggage charges.
  • Items of personal nature such as laundry telephone calls and alcoholic drinks.

Extras

  • For balloon safaris it will cost USD $500 per person
  • Visit to Masai village will cost USD $30 per person
Prices range with season peak time.

Tour Amendments

The Company reserves the right to alter any route or arrangement, or to cancel the operation of any scheduled tour should the conditions necessitate. The right is also reserved to decline, accept or retain any person as a member of any tour at any time. An equitable amount will be refunded accordingly.

All bookings are accepted on the specific condition that Napenda Africa Safaris Limited and its agents act only as agents for the client in all matters relating to tours and transport and hotel/lodge Accommodation and they shall not be liable for any injury, delay, loss, accident or damage arising from any cause and in any manner.
